As the founder and CEO of the HADR Institute, Mitch has developed advanced intelligence capabilities to support global crisis management and resilience efforts. With over a decade of service in the Australian Defence Force, he has led multinational teams in Iraq and served in key roles in Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster Relief (HADR), and Border Protection, including in conflict zones. Mitch specialises in AI Decision Support Systems and their application in humanitarian contexts, drawing from his expertise in international law and a master’s focus on AI in International Humanitarian Law. He has designed intelligence courses for disaster response and brings a wealth of knowledge in intelligence operations across military, disaster management, and humanitarian affairs. His passion for public health and charitable work underscores his commitment to building resilience and creating global impact.

Elyse Glynn

Senior HADR Institute Analyst

Elyse Glynn is an experienced leader in intelligence analysis and logistics, with a strong commitment to advancing female recruitment in the Defence sector. She has extensive operational experience leading intelligence teams for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations, including high-profile events such as the Ukraine Conflict and the Tonga Tsunami. Elyse has also played a key role in open-source conflict reporting and border control operations.
